I'm resilient, a dreamer, warrior mama and disability rights advocate.

Since 2002, I've practiced yoga to take care of myself, to get myself to a better vantage point; and to hit the control-alt-delete button. Getting through a health crisis has turned my family into a motley crew of survivors. I've had huge shifts in perspectives – I've healed and now can celebrate the little victories, determination, awareness and resiliency. I seize every day to live from the heart instead of the head. I've found a way to channel that new-found power of presence, sense of joy and freedom.

When you learn to listen, everyone is the teacher. I believe we are forever the student. When I remind myself and my students to stay present with what is happening, I am speaking from a place of experience. When I speak to my students about overcoming obstacles and trusting the process of life, I've learned to listen to the same advice I offer to others. I practice what I teach.  My teaching style is thoughtful, patient and playful. In my teaching I aim to cultivate non-judgemental self-awareness, presence, balance and play.

Some say I'm an optimist and shifter of perspectives. I love examining life through a yogic lens. I love to dream, write, take long walks, cook, read and be mom to my two boys. My yoga practice has dabbled in various Vinyasa styles to include Ashtanga, Baron Baptiste, Jivamukti, Katonah and Anusara. My classes are creative, alignment-focused, challenging and inclusive offering all of my students a fresh, and exciting playlist and a practice whereby gratitude fills their heart and joy radiates through their being.

I have been teaching yoga since 2012 and have a Bachelors of Science degree   from Cornell University.

I love yoga. And I love the feeling I get from teaching and connecting to students.
